SAP Technical Team Lead | Application Maintenance & Support
Job Description
Experts Refuge is looking for an SAP Technical Team Lead to oversee technical activities and coordinate an SAP technical team in an application maintenance and support environment (TMA).
The role focuses on technical leadership, team coordination and delivery quality, while retaining the ability to contribute directly to key technical issues.
The assignment is primarily remote, with occasional travel to Casablanca.
Main responsibilities
● Lead and coordinate the SAP technical team, organising and prioritising maintenance and support activities.
● Oversee ABAP development, review the quality of proposed solutions and validate technical deliverables.
● Manage incidents and follow up on production issues, contributing to the resolution of key technical problems.
● Supervise SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP interfaces, including the monitoring of data flows and integrations.
● Oversee jobs, batch processing and scheduling tools, ensuring appropriate monitoring and follow-up.
● Manage and control SAP transports across environments.
● Coordinate with SAP Basis and administration teams, including follow-up on security and environment-related matters.
● Guide and support developers, providing technical direction and reviewing proposed solutions.
● Communicate with functional teams and other stakeholders to align priorities and coordinate activities.

Profile
We are looking for a consultant with proven experience in SAP environments and application maintenance and support, combined with experience leading or managing a technical team.
The role requires solid ABAP expertise or a strong understanding of ABAP development, together with a good command of monitoring, interfaces, batch processing, transports and incident management.
You should be able to assess technical solutions from a broader architectural perspective, support developers and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, autonomy and the ability to prioritise activities are essential. Experience working in Agile environments is an advantage.
