SAP S/4HANA SD Senior Consultant – Expert in Global Export, Customs & Transportation Management

Job Description

As part of a strategic partnership with one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA SD Consultant with in-depth functional expertise in global export processes, customs clearance, and transportation management (Advanced Transportation Management).

Job Details:

  • Contract type: Freelance
  • Availability: Full-time position
  • Required experience: Minimum of 10 years
  • Location: Paris / Laval / partial remote work
  • Project context: We are supporting a prestigious client in their S4/HANA project.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of our Core Model solution.
  • Analyze business needs related to international sales and export.
  • Design, configure, and deploy SAP S/4HANA SD solutions, incorporating customs processes and transportation constraints.
  • Integrate customs clearance processes: management of customs documents, Incoterms, EORI numbers, customs nomenclatures, etc.
  • Implement or interface with related modules and solutions: SAP Advanced TM, or external systems for customs management and shipping documentation.
  • Write functional specifications, test scenarios, and training materials.
  • Support key users during testing, training, and change management phases.
  • Monitor regulatory developments related to export and assess their impact on SAP.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Higher education in IT, logistics, or international trade.
  • Proven experience (minimum 10 years) as a SAP SD consultant, with strong focus on Grand Export processes.
  • Expertise in SD Export functionalities: export deliveries, export billing, customs, transport documents, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of interfaces with SAP TM.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments required.
  • Good understanding of international logistics and regulatory constraints.
  • Fluent professional English (international context).
  • Precision, autonomy, and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
